White River Policing Committee Draw for Sault Greyhound Hockey Game, Accommodations + Gas!
WHITE RIVER, ON – Over the past couple of years, the White River Community Policing Committee has diligently fund raised towards the purchase of a neon sign to alert vehicular traffic entering the community along the Highway 17 corridor that the posted speed is 60km/hr. The committee has agreed that this sign would have multiple uses also being available to announce various events within the community, road problems/closures or other important public information.
The White River Community Policing Committee ‘s latest fundraiser is a draw (under Licence #M680861) for:
- four (4) tickets to a Sault Greyhound Hockey Game in Sault Ste. Marie, March 16th, 2013,
- One Night Stay at the Sleep-Inn (SSMarie); Donated by General Manager Joe Dore
- a $50 Gas Voucher; Donated by Walsh’s Esso in White River
The White River Community Policing Committee includes John Cottom, Ross McMillan, Judy FUller, Velma Desmoulin, Eric Belanger, Sandy Killingbeck, Judy Salvatori, and Marg McMillan benefiting from the support of Superior East OPP Constables Bimsom, Ontonovich and Koza.
The White River Community Policing Committee has partnered with the White River Volunteer Fire Department, under the direction of Deputy Fire Chief Dave Poliquin, hosting barbeque fundraisers. Poliquin has been very helpful, rallying his men to come out and cook burgers and give public presentations to ensure these barbecues are a success.
