The Groomer Guy’s Tales from the Trails : F Trail Update Feb.10th

Welcome our newest Editorial Columnist, The Groomer Guy, Luc Levesque.  Levesque became well known in North American snowmobiling circles through his posts to Snowmobile Forums where he wrote under the pen name “Groomer Guy”, before long he realized he had a following and eventually branched out, creating a Youtube channel with videos of his experiences grooming, and a blog documenting much of those same adventures as well as his experiences as a volunteer with the  Dubreuilville Alouettes Snowmobile Club (a member club of the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs).  It is from the latter, his Groomer Guy Blog, that OntarioNewsNorth.com will feature a weekly excerpt, taking one day’s entry each week to share with readers here.

Levesque is also Past President of the Alouettes and has been a groomer operator for 17 Years…. “Over the Years I have seen and Done a lot of stuff with groomers… Wish I had it All on camera. been on TV a Few times and in magazines for Snowmobiling and Atv. I like to Snowmobile and ride my ATV. Grooming snowmobile trails is my life.: the Groomer Guy, Luc Levesque.

This week OntarioNewsNorth.com catches up with the Groomer Guy’s Tales from the Trails as Levesques’ club groomer is broken down and he updaes on the F Trail from other club’s perspectives…

F trail Update – February 10th

“We are going to start packing and getting the F trail opened this weekend, I was told hat  they recently got more snow in Missanabie, they figure about a foot 1/2 on the ground, I wish there was more but we will try to do something with what we got.    Our groomer, is broken down, right wheel bearing busted, we expect about 2 weeks to have it back on the trail….well running I should say as its still on the trail as we can’t move it.

The Chapleau Club has been working on the F trail South. Plans were for them to leave Chapleau and head to Flame Lake Lodge and spend the night, then today head to Aubrey Falls, turn around and head back to Flame Lake, spend the night there again and head back to Chapleau.   The F trail is a hell of a trail to groom/pack, we are very dedicated groomer operators keeping this trail open in such a remote area.

Keep checking for some of my updates, I will be off the grid for about 2 days as there is no cell service out there.”
