DUBREUILVILLE, ON – Friday, February 15th, elementary and secondary students gathered for a plethora of activities all part of the schools’ winter carnival festivities.

During the morning, secondary students had competed in the gym for the honour of being part of the Carnaval’s “Royal Family”, Queen, Princess, Duchesse, King, Prince and Duke each were named in turn and wore their capes, crowns and tiaras proudly throughout the day (come back Monday for photos from the school of the Royals and other carnival activies).
After a hot dog lunch, students enjoyed skating at the Community Arena, Rec Director Alain Rioux commented on their enthusiasm “The kids were having a blast, though many of them enjoy public skating regularly, participating in the context of Carnival makes it extra special and they were all very excited!” said Rioux. Others enjoyed sliding and finally all the students from both École Secondaire L’Orée des Bois and École Élémentaire St.Joseph gathered in the elementary school yard to enjoy pouring their own pull-taffy on fresh snow thanks to a group of volunteer parents (mostly dads).
It was a very special day with memories made to last a lifetime!
