Weather Warnings: Nakina – Aroland – Pagwa

Wind chill warning for Nakina – Aroland – Pagwa
Wind chills minus 40 to minus 45 tonight.
Bitterly cold Arctic air will follow the passage of a cold front tonight. Northwest winds of 15 to 20 km/h will combine with temperatures near minus 30 overnight to create wind chills in the minus 40 to minus 45 range overnight.
Caution is advised if outdoors. Frostbite (damage, sometimes permanent, to skin and body tissue due to freezing) and hypothermia (a life threatening drop in body temperature) will occur if adequate precautions are not taken when outdoors.
Temperatures in the wake of the cold front will plunge quite dramatically from a few degrees below the zero degree mark to minus 20 or below in many areas by tonight.
Environment Canada is closely monitoring this situation.
