UPDATE – BREAK AND ENTER ON LANSDOWN ST. + B&E TO COTTAGE – CHAPLEAU
Charges Laid
CHAPLEAU, ON – September 2, 2012 the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East Chapleau Detachment responded to a break and enter to an apartment on Lansdown Street. Several windows were broken to gain entry into the home. Items taken include 3 firearms, alcohol and jewellery. The firearms include a 410 shotgun, a 20 gauge shotgun and a 308 calibre rifle.
September 29, 2012 OPP South Porcupine arrested 22 year old Jesse WHITE of Brunswick House First Nation. The accused was charged with the following Criminal Code offences;
- Break and Enter
- Mischief Under $5,000
- Breach of Probation
- Trafficking in Stolen Goods
The items reported stolen were recovered in this matter. The accused has been held for a bail hearing in Timmins today.

BREAK AND ENTER TO COTTAGE
CHAPLEAU, ON – September 30, 2012 the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East Chapleau Detachment were advised of a break and enter to a cottage on Chapleau River. The break in occurred sometime between August 20 and September 30, 2012. The locks on the doors had been smashed to gain entry into building. The items stolen are estimated to be $2500 and include a KIPOR 1000w generator, a Poulin chainsaw and a 1997 Mariner 8hp outboard motor.
