Thunderhawks Women’s Hockey – October 26 Game Recap
INTERNATIONAL FALLS, MINNESOTA – The Confederation College Thunderhawks women’s hockey team opened with a 3-1 win over Minot State University in its first game of the Rainy River Community College Can-Am Tournament in International Falls, Minnesota last night.
Crystal Duhaime opened the scoring with a nice deflection from a Kylie Cornell slap shot. Devin Bemben scored to give the Thunderhawks their second goal off a nice cross-crease feed from Courtney Easton. Thunderhawks captain Amber Butler got the insurance marker.
Overall, the Thunderhawks dominated the play, as reflected in the shot count; 53 for Confederation College versus 15 for Minot State.
The Thunderhawks’ next action is on Saturday against the Manitoba Women’s Junior Hockey League Predators, followed by a game on Sunday against Michigan State University.
