WAWA, ON – Algoma-Manitoulin MPP Michael Mantha was quick to react when he heard constituents in Wawa had been devastated by flooding on the outskirts of their community, on Highway 17 and on many important roadways in the area including the route between Wawa and neighbouring Michipicoten First Nation whose residents found themselves unable to leave their community.
OntarioNewsNorth.com spoke with the MPP following his briefing by the Emergency Control Group when he arrived Thursday, October 26th and then again the afternoon of the 27th, for an update of what he had seen, what was being done and to hear of how he felt the province could assist.
