PUBLIC INVITED TO ATTEND: Manitouwadge Official Plan Open House
The township of Manitouwadge is updating its Official Plan, a policy document adopted by Council it describes as “determining how to manage land and resources to ensure a healthy and vibrant community”. Public input is an important part of the Official Plan review and update process and a number of workshops/ open houses are to be held. One of the important steps in the process is a meeting with Council early in the process to determine what revisions may be required to the Official Plan.
The Township is seeking public input and holding an Open House and special meeting of Council where they hope residents will participate in discussions with other residents, stakeholders and the consultants to provide input toward a future vision for the Township and toward the draft Official Plan.
For those wanting to be notified of the decision of Township Council in respect to the Official Plan, a written request to the Municipal Manager must be made. To provide input in writing, or to request personal notice if the proposed change is adopten please send a letter:

This meeting is a Special Meeting of Council in accordance with the Section 26(4) of the Planning Act. Additional public consultation will take place during the course of the project prior to Council adopting an update to the Official Plan. Dated at the Township of Manitouwadge August 22nd 2012
