Michel Fortier passed away peacefully Wednesday August 22, 2012.
Michel FORTIER passed away peacefully at the Lady Dunn Health Centre, Wawa with family by his side on Wednesday August 22, 2012 at the age of 48 years.
Michel, loving husband of Patti-Anne. Much loved father of Stephanie. He is survived by his parents Benoit and Margot Fortier. Dear brother of Donald (Kim). Son-in-law of Elmer and Evelyn Diak. Brother-in-law of Doris Lebel and Tim Diak. Michel will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, his hunting buddy Donny, his dear friends and also by his faithful companions Rosco and Smokey.
Friends may call at the P.M. Gilmartin Funeral Home (140 Churchill Avenue, Wawa, 1-800-439-4937) on Sunday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Monica’s Church on Monday August 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Christopher Ezeonyemalu officiating. Interment at Woodland Cemetery, Wawa. Memorial donations made to the Lady Dunn Health Centre Oncology Department, the Lady Dunn Health Centre Foundation or to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the Doctors and nurses at the Lady Dunn Health Centre and to the Sault Area Hospital for their care during Michel’s brief stay with them.
