Marathon Slow-Pitch August 15/16 Scores + Current Stats & Standings
Wednesday, August 15th
DYERS’ FIELD MARATHON, ON – Nathan Davis, Tyler Davis and Kody Nabigon combined to drive in 14 of the 19 Jays runs in a 19-16 victory over The Outlaws. John Hooper and Shelby Starr scored 5 runs at the bottom of the order in what was a well balanced attack by the Blue Jays. Ryan McKinnon hit 2 Homeruns for The Outlaws but it was not enough. With the win, the Blue Jays sit at 11-11 as they try to sneak into 3rd place in the standings while The Outlaws have clinched 6th place with a record of 6-14-1.
In the 7:30 game, the Jagerbombers clinched a first place finish with a convincing 24-8 win over Brokerlink. Braydon Bertin continued his torrid Homerun pace hitting 2 more for the Jagerbombers who hit a total of 5 Homeruns in the game. The Jagerbombers will now have a bye in the first round of the playoffs which are scheduled to begin Sunday, August 26th.
Thursday, August 16th
DYERS’ FIELD MARATHON, ON – There were plenty of runs scored but no winner could be determined as Barrick and Brokerlink played to an 18-18 tie. Ben Kowalczyk moved into a tie for 3rd place in the Homerun standings after hitting his 18th homerun for Barrick. The tie sees Barrick’s record sit at 2-18-2 while Brokerlink sits at 11-8-3 as they fight to try to hold their 3rd place position in the standings with the playoffs quickly approaching.
