DRUG ENFORCEMENT UNIT CHARGE 4 PEOPLE WITH 36 OFFENCES

NIPISSING FIRST NATION, ON –  The Ontario Provincial Police Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) – North, Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) and Anishinabek Police Service (APS) have charged 4 individuals with 36 offences following a Controlled Drugs and Substance Act search warrant in the community of Nipissing First Nation on Wednesday August 8, 2012.

Four individuals have been charged with 36 drug related offences.  Cannabis Marihuana, Cannabis Resin, Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD) and Ecstasy (MDMA) were seized during the investigation.   The street value of the drugs seized is $8200.00.  Also seized were various prohibited weapons, firearms and a crossbow.

Johnaton PEARSON, age 21, of Nipissing First Nation

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance – 2 Counts
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance – 2 Counts
  • Possession of a Prohibited Weapon – 5 Counts
  • Possession of a Weapon While Prohibited – 3 Counts
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – 1 Count

John PEARSON, age 60, of Nipissing First Nation

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance – 2 Counts
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance – 2 Counts
  • Possession of a Prohibited Weapon – 5 Counts
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – 1 Count

Adam BEAUCAGE, age 21, of Orillia, ON

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance – 2 Counts
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance – 2 Counts
  • Possession of a Prohibited Weapon – 5 Counts
  • Breach of Probation – 1 Count
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – 1 Count

Darcy YOUNG, age 21, of Nipissing First Nation

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance – 2 Counts
