Documentary Film Crew Extends Stay in Manitouwadge
MANITOUWADGE, ON – Underground Sunshine Productions, the team filming a documentary about Northwestern Ontario communities in the ‘Learn More’ process with the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) has extended their stay in Manitouwadge.
OntarioNewsNorth.com caught up with Colin Scheyen during filming with Grant Goodwin, Board Member with the Manitouwadge Economic Development Corporation who was sharing his thoughts and opinions on the topic of Nuclear Waste and the possibility of his community becoming the host for a deep geological repository. Scheyen explained that the crew’s one-day stop in Manitouwadge August 7th had been extended and that they would be staying at least one additional night “We like it here, people have been so friendly and it is going very well” said Scheyen in regards to the decision.
Underground Sunshine Productions are still looking for people to interview in Manitouwadge, and other communities like Schreiber and Nipigon as they continue to travel west tomorrow, and encourage anyone interested in sharing their thoughts and opinions on the topic of their community learning more about the NWMO and the possibility of it becoming the site for a deep geological repository to contact them.
