TERRACE BAY, ON – Approximately 200 visitors attended the annual Lake Superior Day event in Terrace Bay this Sunday, July 15th. The Municipality, in partnership with Parks Canada, hosted the annual event which featured a volunteer cleanup of Terrace Bay Beach and then free activities featuring the Lake.
Visitors were able to take a 30 minute boat ride around Lake Superior, go out on the water with a friend in a tandem kayak, take part in a guided hike along the shore line or enjoy a variety of kid’s games; all free of charge. The Township also partnered with local business Superior Dining to offer discounted meal deals. The weather for the event was incredible with clear skies and a comfortable heat.
