MANITOUWADGE, ON – Manitouwadge’s Canada Day celebrations included nationally renowed talent this year. At the July 1st festivities, the Lions’ Beach filled with residents and visitors looking forward to performances by local bands and the winners of CBC’s Cover Me Canada –WhosArmy.  In spite of intermittent rain, attendees stayed to enjoy cover songs and original material performed by WhosArmy.

After they performed their first set, the band graciously accommodate Community Programmer Shawna Patterson who asked them to be judges for the Sand Sculpture contest which had been ongoing throughout the afternoon, at the end of their performance they mingled with attendees once again, taking the time to meet fans and answer their questions.

July 2nd, before departing the community, WhosArmy members,  Travis Wood (Vocals), Cory Williams (Guitars), Max Trefler (Drums) and Greg Markham (Bass), sat down for an interview with OntarioNewsNorth.com Editor Karina Hunter.  The men spoke about life after Cover Me Canada, growing recognition, their new album and Vocalist Travis Wood even treats viewers to an improvised song clip, watch the interview below.
