Three new fires have been confirmed thus far today.
- Timmins 33, a 0.1 hectare fire is currently listed as Not Under Control.
- Sudbury 62, also a 0.1 hectare fire is listed as Not Under Control.
- Bancroft 14 is currently Under Control at 0.3 hectares in size.
- Suppression efforts lead to fires Bancroft 13, Cochrane 30, Midland 3 and Sudbury 61 being declared Out yesterday
Resources across the region remain prepared for initial attack, as well as continuing suppression efforts on existing fires.
There are currently 17 fires in the Northeast Region, burning 48096.5 hectares.
To date, there have been 332 fires in the Northeast Region, having burnt 49645.3 hectares.
