The EDC acknowledged the generous support of the Rotary Club of Wawa for sponsoring the Molson Coors application and all local media for the excellent coverage which promoted the program to residents. Dave White, Regional Sales Representative for Molson Coors Canada, was there to present the cheque and spoke of his excitement to see this project through to its completion.

The event was also attended by the Mayor of Wawa, “I would like to thank the EDC, Rotary Club of Wawa and all Wawa Cheerers for supporting this project and showing true community spirit,” said Mayor Linda Nowicki. “Most importantly, thank you to Molson Coors for this generous donation. It will go a long way in helping the Municipality to make needed repairs to our arena’s heating and cooling system.”

Lori Johnson, Director of Community Services, wrapped up the reception by sharing that she was in awe of the enthusiasm, passion, and dedication of the volunteers who put their heart and soul into making sure Wawa is provided with great recreational opportunities. “The truth is that without all of you in this room tonight and those who are not here, the Community Centre and all of its recreational activities would not exist.” said Lori Johnson.
