MANITOUWADGE, ON – Last week, while stopping in at the township office to speak with Economic Development Officer Anthony Friedrich, a large box in the corner of his office drew my attention.  Friedrich was pleased to share that he has received signage, part of ongoing initiatives between the Township and the Manitouwadge Economic Development Corporation to both attract people to town and ensure tourists or visitors enjoy their time here and return again.  The signage will help any person, regardless of their knowledge of Manitouwadge’s landscape, can easily navigate the streets of without any frustration or negative incidents.

Among the signs purchased by the Township and MEDC are those for Acommodations, Downtown, Attractions (like the golf course for example) and others areas of town that can be of interest to those visiting.

Friedrich says the signs have already been scheduled for installation by Public Works and that in the weeks to come people will see them popping up all over town.
