Interview with Manitouwadge Mayor John MacEachern
MANITOUWADGE, ON – Since OntarioNewsNorth.com last interviewed Mayor MacEachern in March (CLICK HERE for that interview)
- he has attended Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and Ontario Good Roads Association (OGRA) meetings,
- council has set a date for their Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) tour,
- the initial deadline for public comments to the 2012 Federal Electoral Boundaries Commission for Ontario (www.federal-redistribution.ca) passed with the comment period ending April 30th (in February 2012, council passed a motion to have Manitouwadge redesignated from the Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing [federal] and Algoma-Manitoulin [provincial] ridings)
- residents have raised questions regarding rumours of:
- new fees for residential garbage pick-up
- dock replacement reviewed at a recent council meeting by EDO Anthony Friedrich (CLICK HERE for interview with EDO from last week) in his report.
