I’m back! After a week of visiting family in Southern Ontario, and taking in a Blue Jays baseball game in Toronto, I have returned home to the daily grind. Although it is always nice to get away and recharge the batteries, it’s also nice coming home! While I was away, the new releases kept on coming. There are only five new movies this week but four of them are major theatrical releases that should appeal to a wide range of audiences.
Let’s have a look at each title in more detail;
NEW RELEASES on DVD and BLU-RAY
The Grey: starring Liam Neeson– After a plane crash in Alaska, seven oil workers must survive the harsh conditions while being ruthlessly stalked by a pack of wolves. (Adventure) (DVD and Blu-Ray)
This Means War: starring Reese Witherspoon and Chris Pine- Two CIA agents and good friends wage an all out war against each other after finding out that they are dating the same woman. (Comedy) (DVD and Blu-Ray)
The Woman in Black: starring Daniel Radcliffe- A young lawyer travels to a remote village where he discovers that the ghost of a woman is terrorizing the locals. (Horror) (DVD and Blu-Ray)
Red Tails: starring Terrance Howard and Cuba Gooding Jr.– After facing segregation for most of WW2, a group of African American soldiers are called into duty to lead the air squad in their fight against the enemy. (Action/War) (DVD and Blu-Ray)
Dead Undead- A battle ensues between Good Vampires battle Zombie Vampires while trying prevent a horrible infection from spreading. (Horror) (DVD)
FOR THE GAMERS
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Future Soldier: When a stolen military grade bomb takes out a Ghost squad, a new Ghost Unit must locate the source of the weapons. Before long, the Ghosts are all that stand in the way of a devastating global conflict. With over 50 weapons to choose from and a comprehensive multiplayer mode, this game promises to be a welcomed addition to the Tom Clancy franchise. Available for PS3 and 360 (Kinect Compatible!)
Men in Black Alien Crisis: Based on the popular movie franchise- The game follows a MIB Agent in training assigned to uncover enemy aliens who are planning to destroy planet Earth. Available for WII, 360 and PS3.
Also available: Dragon’s Dogma, Battleship, MaxPayne 3 and Game of Thrones…
