MFHT Amazing WALK – Registrations pouring in!
MANITOUWADGE, ON – Manitouwadge Family Health Team Director Lee Kriniski was very pleased to report, as of noon yesterday (April 26th) that TWENTY-SIX (26) teams of 6 members each had already registered for the challenge which is an 8 week walk equivalent to the distance between 5 Europeen countries from Bussels and Paris.

Of course the Manitouwadge Family Health Team has its own Amazing Race Walk team sponsored by Jim Moffat Enterprises which has suited them with team T-Shirts (you’ll have to be at the Kick-Off BBQ sponsored by Manroc next Saturday to see those) and provided many participation prizes. Kriniski was enthused by the support shown by local businesses “It has been wonderful to see the overwhelmingly positive response by local businesses. Many have come on board to support this initiative in one way or another and we really appreciate it” said Kriniski in an interview with OntarioNewsNorth.com Thursday, April 26th (CLICK HERE to view).
After speaking with Krisniski, the MFHT team joined her and we went to the centre of the hospital where an Eifel Tower has been erected in honour of the Amazing Walk challenge – Paris is the last virtual destination in the challenge. The team and Director Lee Kriniski, posed for a photo for OntarioNewsNorth.com. The ladies challenge any other office workers in town to make a team of co-workers and register for the Amazing Walk as well, this of course is a great opportunity to get to know those you work with and get healthy while doing it (and of course there are those great prizes up for grabs as well!).
There is still time to register and have your chance to qualify at the amazing prizes available like a GRAND PRIZE which includes SIX (6) mountain bikes courtesy Barrick Gold (purchased from a local bike shop) AND guided outdoor adventures which could be anything from a fishing excursion to a winter quinzy sleep-out to a bike around area trails – the winners will choose their adventure.
Keep watching OntarioNewsNorth.com for more details of how the Amazing Race Walk is progressing and the teams that have registered there will be a seperate page coming soon dedicated entirely to the MFHT’s Amazing Race Walk challenge.
