OPP REMIND DRIVERS TO STAY SAFE
With the recent spring like conditions our highways are clear and dry allowing for safe traveling. Often with these dry conditions drivers concentrate less on good driving habits and more on getting to their destination.
Members of the OPP Highway Safety Division remind drivers of our promise to keep our highways safe for the motoring public. Aggressive driving which includes speeding, following to close and unsafe passing are issues that our officers will be targeting.
Officers encourage proper use of seatbelts including appropriate child car seats.
Keep your thumbs on the wheel – use of cell phones, electronic devices or other actions that distract the driver can be a fatal decision – stay alert while driving.
Drink responsibly – call a friend, take a cab, choose a designated driver.
Together we can keep our highways safe
Stay Alert – Stay Sober – Stay Alive
