The 2011-2012 Curling Finals were held in Curling Country-Geraldton on February 27th and February 28th.
GERALDTON, ON – At the 2012 Northshore Secondary School Athletic Association (NSSSAA) 2012 curling championships teams played In the girls division, the Nip-Rock High School Lakers retained their title with a 6-5 extra end win over Ecole Secondaire Chateau Jaunesse’s Huskies from Longlac. Both teams advanced to NWOSSAA held in Fort Frances this week.

On the boys side the host Geraldton Composite High School (GCHS) Knights had to work diligently in order to retain their title. After losing in the round-robin portion of the draw to the Huskies, the GCHS Knights found themselves in a three-way tie with the Huskies and the Lake Superior High School Stingers (Terrace Bay-Schreiber).
In the end- the Knights rebounded to upend the Huskies rink and win the NSSSAA crown yet again. Both boys teams will also advance to the NWOSSAA Championships in Fort Frances.
