Manitouwadge Promoted at 2012 Toronto Sportsmen Show
TORONTO, ON – Wednesday March 14th through 18th, Amanda Mayhew-Hare and her husband Craig participated in the Toronto Sportsmen Show at the Metro Convention Centre with exhibitors and outfitters promoting camping, fishing, and hunting. The Mayhew-Hares, the power couple behind www.BackwoodBones.com, were promoting, among other things, the Township of Manitouwadge and opportunities to hunt, fish and adventure in the area.
Craig and Amanda were feature guests of the show, appearing on the cover of the Sportmen Show brochures and online in promotions for some of their sponsors, among these the Toronto Sun in which Amanda has appeared as Sunshine Girl and Maximus Crossbows.
In addition to the Mahew-Hares, guest speakers who offered seminars at the Sportsmen Show included well-known names in outdoors adventuring and hunting such as:
- Thomas Pigeon,
- Taylor Wright,
- The Beasley Brothers,
- Gord Ellis,
- Mike Miller,
- Adrian Hare
Among the work done by Amanda and Craig at the show was a seminar they offered Saturday & Sunday about families, husbands and wives hunting. Not surprisingly, while chatting with visitors to their booth, Amanda was challenged by a fan to a random push-up competition, it caught her off guard but those who have followed her career as a fitness coach and model will be satisfied to hear she won – Way to go Amanda!
Amanda was very pleased with the number of people interested in taking brochures and materials she had available with information about Manitouwadge “It’s always fun to brag about my hometown, of all the places Craig and I hunt Manitouwadge and Northern Ontario are still among our favourites” said Mayhew-Hare.
If you are a past resident with opportunities to promote the activities you love in Manitouwadge, you are encouraged to contact Economic Development Officer Anthony Friedrich.
