MANITOUWADGE, ON – Yesterday evening, at their regular meeting, Mayor and council were pleased to welcome Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing MP Carol Hughes who was in Manitouwadge for her monthly constituency meeting the today. Hughes’ timing could not have been better as Mayor John MacEachern passed a resolution to request being transferred to the Federal riding of Thunder Bay-Superior North during seat re-distribution. Hughes does have concerns regarding the possibility of Northern seats being lost during a seat re-distribution.
