Looking Towards September at MPS

MANITOUWADGE, ON – Last week our Kindergarten room played host to the new registrants of next year’s junior kindergarten (JK) students. This Open House was organized to offer an insight for parents (an even a grandparent!) into the JK program and how our students / their children will be growing academically under our expert teaching and guidance.
The little ones enjoyed a snack, a craft and the excitement of feeling grown up to be in a ‘big’ school with ‘big’ kids! Pictured to the right is one of the new little registrants offering us a piece of the colorful delicious cake she made – which probably tasted an awful lot like play-doh!
These little Junior Kindergarten-students-to-be will enjoy other fun days in our building before the ‘BIG’ day in September – one of which is they will take part in the Fair Start screening event on February 29th at the school. There will be a ‘Ride the Bus Day’ and others to be announced later. If you have a child that will be four years of age before December 31, 2012, you still have time to register him or her in our excellent Junior Kindergarten Program at MPS for the 2012-13 school year.
