HORNEPAYNE, ON – Following their recent double-header wins over the Dubreuilville École Secondaire L’Orée des Bois’ Ouragans [translation: Hurricanes], the Hornepayne High School Hawks will host the North Shore Secondary School Athletic Association Finals in their new school gymnasium.
The Hawks have three teams in this 2012 North Shore Secondary School Athletic Association (NSSSAA) Winter Championship. The Junior Boys basketball team, Junior Girls volleyball and Senior Girls volleyball teams have all won the Eastern Division of NSSSAA. Dubreuilville l’École Secondaire L’Orée des Bois’ Ouragans will represent the East in Senior Boys basketball.
The Central Division will be represented by the Senior Girls team from Manitouwadge. All other divisions are still up for grabs.
In the West Division, the Lake Superior Senior Boys and Senior Girls will be at the finals. The junior teams are still battling.
