SNOWSHOE WALK TOMORROW IN MARATHON

MARATHON, ON – Kim and Leslie Ransom of the Marathon Cross Country Ski and Snowshoe Club invite their Marathon and Northshore neighbours to the club’s 1st event of 2012. Wednesday January 4th The Marathon Cross Country Ski and Snowshoe Club is hosting a snowshoe walk under the lights of the green lit trail.

They will start out around 6:30pm for a walk of either 1.5 or 3km (your choice). It is meant to be a relaxed social walk with friends to introduce people to the concept of snowshoeing the ski trails under the lights (snowshoeing is allowed Monday to Friday 5-8pm on the lit green trail only… sorry, No dogs).

As a Christmas break special, trail passes and snowshoe rentals are half price for this event! $5.00 total price, or $2.50 if you bring your own snowshoes. As always, after the walk you are invited up to the chalet to warm up in front of the fire and perhaps enjoy a hot cup of hot chocolate or coffee. They have 20 pairs of snowshoes and would love to see them all out on the trail, so bring a friend or two along or make it a family event. This fun evening is a great way to start getting active in 2012.
