OPP ARREST FEMALE AFTER STABBING ON NEW YEARS
MARATHON, ON – Sunday January 1, 2012 at 5:30 am, Marathon Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a disturbance on Hemlo Drive in Marathon. During the investigation Police were informed that a male had been stabbed during an altercation. Officers quickly dispersed the crowd and offered assistance to the injured male.
An ambulance was requested and transported the injured male to Wilson Memorial General hospital, where he was treated and released.
A female, Alannah SHAGANASH, 20 years old, from Mobert, ON has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault. The accused was held for a bail hearing.
