MULTIPLE DETACHMENTS SOLVE BREAK AND ENTERS

SUPERIOR EAST, ON –  December 3, 2011 Superior East Ontario Provincial Police Officers from the Wawa detachment were called to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 101 in Chabanel Township.  Upon arrival officer found that the driver had failed to remain at the scene.  Property located in the back of the involved pickup truck was found to be stolen from two separate break and enters to cottage properties on Paint Lake Road near White River.  The break and enters had been reported to White River detachment on November 24th, 2011.

Chapleau OPP Officers located the driver from the collision during a R.I.D.E. check later that same day.  As a result 34-year-old Patrick LEMIRE of Val D’OR, Quebec was arrested and charged with the following;

  1. Break and Enter x 2
  2. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000
  3. Fail to Comply with Undertaking Conditions

The accused is scheduled to appear in Wawa Criminal Court to answer to the above charges on February 6th, 2012.
