Crossover Celebrates Giving Away $1000
MARATHON, ON – Saturday, December 2nd, many of the customers who have become so loyal and to whom Owner Tyler Davis credits the success of his business, joined him at Crossover Video & Games to celebrate the stores 1st Year Anniversary.
It has been an eventful year for Davis and the growing staff of Crossover Video as they strived to think outside the box and offer customers more than would be expected of a typical ‘movie store’. In addition to a huge variety of new and classic films to rent or buy on DVD and Blu Ray, Davis offers Video game consoles, accessories and rentals as well as very unique supply of vintage candy and treats which have caught the attention of the young and young at heart, sending people back to memories of 5¢ candy purchases of their childhood.
Davis also welcomes small and home-based businesses to share his floorspace on a regular basis, part of the community collaborations he committed to when launching his business and which has helped Crossover Video grow and become quite well-known beyond Marathon, drawing regular customers from Heron Bay, Pic River, Manitouwadge, Schreiber and other neighbouring communities.
Davis has been recognized for his success by the Marathon District Chamber of Commerce and by Superior North CFDC presenting as a Guest Speaker during the latter organization’s AGM this Spring. His efforts do not stop at business deals and interactions however, Crossover Video has, in it’s short one year in business, sponsored many events and non-profits and continues to be the location for Marathon Figure Skating Club tickets, Manitouwadge Night on the Town Entertainment Series tickets and of course information on any current fundraisers in the community.
Davis’ Crossover Insider, a weekly feature on OntarioNewsNorth.com is now also published in Terrace Bay’s weekly printed paper, having a growing number of regular followers which turn to it’ for movie and gaming industry information, a full listing of each week’s in-store releases and details of any Marathon businesses/organizations currently collaborating with Crossover on special events, fundraisers and more.
The 1st Anniversary celebrations included guests from local and regional businesses including Valerie Tymryk, representing the Marathon District Chamber of Commerce, Rachel Hambly, Business Outreach Officer SNCFDC, and many loyal customers. All of these enjoyed cake and refreshments as they waited for the much-anticipated $1000 cash draw which Tyler had been promoting throughout November to boost anticipation of the anniversary. Congratulations to Pat Dick, winner of the $1000 Crossover Anniversary Draw. Davis wound up the afternoon thanking everyone in attendance and those who continue to support Crossover Video. OntarioNewsNorth.com would like to CONGRATULATE Tyler Davis on this important milestone, wishing him many, many more successful years ahead!
