Community Christmas Potluck in Manitouwadge
MANITOUWADGE, ON – Sunday, December 11th, the Bethany Pentecostal Assembly held their Annual Christmas Potluck for church members and local residents at the Recreation Centre Auditorium. A full house enjoyed dishes that varied from several varieties of meatballs, to shrimp, to moose-meat pies, and many pasta dishes of course a number of salads started the meal and it was topped off with delicious deserts, provided once again by attendees.
During dessert, volunteers toured the auditorium clearing plates and offering single-serving ice cream cups to diners. It was an evening full of fellowship and sharing as Pastor Gary Burt took the mic after supper to introduce a Charlie Brown classic – Linus explaining the ‘Meaning of Christmas’ before a group of signers accompanied by a pianist and guitarist from the assembly led everyone in Christmas classics. The beautiful chorus was a gift to the Chapel’s regular Sunday Service musicians as well as those in attendance.
Finally Pastor Gary addressed attendees one final time, thanking everyone for coming and inviting them to Bethany’s Christmas Service, this Sunday, December 18th at 10:30am and to the Chapel for a Christmas Day Service focused more on the young members of the assembly on December 25th.
