MANITOUWADGE, ON – Our school board has  formed a Student Senate whose purpose is to include the student voice in the decision making process within our Board.  Two young ladies have ben chosen, Kennedy Quade and Chelsea Malakoff, who sit on the MPS School Council and now are also our student reps on this senate.

Thursday, November 10 the three Student Trustees for our Board, Alannah Dart (Marathon High School), Allison Pelletier (Geraldton Composite High School) and Christine Roszel (Manitouwadge High School), chaired a video/teleconference with  other young student representatives from each of the schools in the Superior-Greenstone District School Board.  Chelsea and Kennedy  are very excited to be the student voice for Manitouwadge Public School, attending this meeting at the high school on behalf of their peers.   They have already been exhibiting leadership in the school – being part of the Library Student Crew, assisting Mrs. Woodrow when needed, is another example of their commitment to their fellow students.    Students helping students promotes a strong balance at MPS!

You’re doing a great job ladies – keep it up!
