MARATHON, ON – Sunday, November 27th, the Town of Marathon’s 22nd Annual Santa Clause parade, themed “Santa’s Bells Are Ringing” lit up a very chilly Northshore night after originally being postponed the evening prior due to inclement weather.
OntarioNewsNorth.com was on hand, broadcasting the parade live to viewers from Red Rock to Manitouwadge and beyond and thanks the many parade participants who approached the news-van to share their treats, holiday wishes and wonderful spirit.
Of course the main attraction was Santa who joined parade participants and observers (100’s of vehicles lined the parade route!) at the Lakeview Community Hall after the parade to hear from his young friends, hopeful to land on his ‘good-list’. Town volunteers were on hand serving hot chocolate, delicious cookies and to announce the parade float contest winners, the latter of these who were presented with wonderful holiday themed trophies.
