Manitouwadge Public School News
MANITOUWADGE, ON – Four of our students have volunteered to become peer group leaders and recently attended a Hand Washing Workshop facilitated by Shirley Saasto-Stopyra, PHN. Three of these students were trained last year on hand washing techniques, and we were excited to have another student become part of the group this year. After their workshop and a pizza lunch treat, these young presenters went into each classroom and instructed those students about the proper and healthy techniques of hand washing. Students in the classrooms were shown examples of how germs are transferred in day to day activity as well as the importance of covering coughs and sneezes to prevent the spread of germs.
Becoming positive leaders in school is another step towards becoming young adult leaders within our communities. Another good job! Well done Chelsea, Hanna, Brennan and Savannah!
