NDP Candidate in Algoma-Manitoulin, Michael Mantha, is among the Northern Ontario electoral candidates challenged with very large ridings.
Michael Mantha is no ‘newbie’ however. While employed for Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing MP Carol Hughes he has had the opportunity to travel the riding at length, meet many constituents and hear the concerns of residents of Algoma-Manitoulin. Mantha visited Manitouwadge for a third time, since the writ of election was issued by Lieutenant Governor David Onley on September 7, this past Friday September 30th.
OntarioNewsNorth.com Editor Karina Hunter had the opportunity to speak with Michael Mantha while he was at the Manitouwadge Golden Age Centre meeting with constituents and supporters. Hunter asked Mr. Mantha about any new issues that had emerged since he was in Manitouwadge for Candidates’ Night, his feelings regarding the momentum of his campaign and more; the complete video interview is below.
After leaving Manitouwadge, Mantha continued his campaigning in Wawa, yesterday (Saturday) he travelled to Hornepayne and Dubreuilville before heading to Chapleau today where he would be canvassing with his NDP Colleague, Timmins-James Bay Candidate, MPP Gilles Bisson.
