After a weekend full of family, friends and turkey, it is time for another week and another batch of new movies and games. Highlighting this week’s new release slate is Horrible Bosses, a comedy about three friends whose bosses are SO horrible that they want to kill them! I had to watch this movie a couple of times to ensure that I wasn’t doing any of the things that the horrible bosses were doing- after all, I wouldn’t want any of my employees depriving you of your weekly dose of Crossover Insider 😉
Kidding aside, let’s have a detailed look at all of this week’s (October 11th) new releases;
NEW RELEASES
Horrible Bosses: starring Jason Bateman, Kevin Spacey and Jennifer Anniston- Three friends enlist the help of a hitman to kill their bosses- who make their lives miserable. (Comedy) (DVD) (Blu-Ray will be arriving late)
Green Lantern: starring Ryan Reynolds- RELEASED FRIDAY, OCTOBER 14TH- A man is given a mystical green ring that provides him with otherworldly powers. (Action/Sci-Fi) (DVD and Blu-Ray)
Zookeeper: starring Kevin James and featuring the voices of Cher, Sylvester Stallone and Adam Sandler- A group of zoo animals decide to break their code of silence in order to help their zoo keeper find love. (Family/Comedy) (DVD and Blu-Ray)
Tree of Life: starring Brad Pitt and Sean Penn- A story centered on a family with three boys in the 1950s. The eldest son witnesses the loss of innocence. (Drama) (DVD and Blu-Ray)
Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer: starring Heather Graham- Judy Moody sets out to have the most thrilling summer of her life with the help of her kooky aunt and bratty little brother (Family/Kids) (DVD and Blu-Ray)
Arena: starring Samuel L. Jackson and Kellen Lutz- A man finds himself forced into the world of a modern gladiator arena, where men fight to the death for the entertainment of the online masses. (Action) (DVD)
Beautiful Boy: starring Maria Bello and Michael Sheen- A married couple on the verge of separation are shocked by the news that their 18-year-old son committed a mass shooting at his college (Drama) (DVD)
Born of Earth: starring Daniel Baldwin- After years of people disappearing with no explanation, a man takes it upon himself to investigate the creepy woods of Prophet Hills (Horror) (DVD)
Life in a Day: A documentary shot by filmmakers all over the world that serves as a time capsule to show future generations what it was like to be alive on the 24th of July, 2010. (Documentary) (DVD)
Lucky: starring Colin Hanks- A wannabe serial killer wins the lottery and pursues his lifelong crush. (Comedy) (DVD)
Master Harold and the Boys: starring Freddie Highmore and Ving Rhames- A young boy living in South Africa must deal with his racist father, while developing a relationship with African American teacher. (DVD) (Drama)
Necromentia: Four different people have experiences with a tattoo covered Ouija board… (Horror) (DVD)
Terri: starring John C. Reilly and Creed Bratton- An overweight young man struggles to adjust to his difficult high-school life (Comedy) (DVD)
Vlog: A young lady is shown being murdered live on her webcam. When investigation ensues, it turns out that not all is what it seems to be. (Horror) (DVD)
FOR THE GAMERS:
Wipeout 2: Based on the popular TV series, Wipeout is back with new stunts and new obstacles! Players also have the option of choosing Summer or Winter mode. Available for 360 (Kinect), Wii, Nintendo DS and Nintendo 3DS.
Forza 4: This game is being hyped as the best racing game of the year! Play with your controller or use Kinect! Available only on Xbox 360.
