MANITOUWADGE, ON – Positive interaction among the younger and older students at MPS has always been strongly encouraged. To this end, each Thursday, Grades 4, 5 and 6 students meet up with the kindergarten class to read together. Each little kindergarten student gets to chose their favourite book, find a comfy corner where they and the ‘big’ kids will go together.
The thirty minute get together has become a favourite reading practice for the older students. The little ones enjoy this time for recognizing letters, pictures and making predictions about the outcome of the story.
Everyone has a great time while learning and sharing!
