Open Casting Call for Features and Shorts
THUNDER BAY, ON – With a new crop of film students set to embark on the 42nd anniversary of the Confederation College Film Production Program, an open casting call has been issued for Saturday, September 17th from 3pm to 5pm and Sunday, September 18th from noon to 3pm at Intercity Mall.
The database of actors and extras for films is now out of date. The casting books are also an open resource for other community filmmakers and external producers needing talent.
“We make a lot of films throughout the school year,” noted Film Professor Dennis Austin. “Our movies are aired on television and selected by festivals all over the world, with our students regularly winning awards and nominations for their high caliber films.”
No experience is necessary. Interested persons should drop by the food court entrance near Zellers at Intercity Mall and fill out a simple contact form. The casting team will take a picture and add the information to the database.
