MANITOUWADGE, ON – Wednesday August 17, 2011 Ontario Provincial Police officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling on Highway 17 East of Marathon.
During the traffic stop it was discovered that some of the occupants were wanted for previous illegal activity in the province of Quebec. During the investigation a large amount of cash was discovered as well as a quantity of marijuana, and hashish with an estimated street value of $5000.00.
Elliot DANIS a 35 year old male, Ngoc NGUYEN a 26 year old male both of Montreal, Quebec and Van Phuc NGUYEN a 56 year old male from Aurora, Ontario were all arrested and charged with Possession for the Purpose of trafficking and Possession Property Obtained by Crime. They were transported to Thunder Bay District Jail, were they are to appear in Criminal Court for these charges.
