Swimming At A Moonlit Oasis

MANITOUWADGE, ON – The Oasis Swimming Pool was a lively place last night, long past its usual hours. Swimmers enjoyed a ‘late night swim’ as the pool remained open until 11pm!
There were many teens and a number of adults that took advantage of the extended Friday night fun, other, younger children were accompanied by parents who patiently sat by, in spite of hungry mosquitoes, well entertained by their kids flips, dives, canonballs and other fanciful pool entries and underwater acrobatics.
As always, there was no entry fee, swimming continued, even for these special hours, to be FREE of charge as it has been throughout the summer (2011). Lifeguards told us that weather permitting, they hoped to host other ‘late night swims’ before the summer ended, keep reading OntarioNewsNorth.com and watch the Northern Ontario Calendar for details of upcoming opportunities to swim at the moonlit Oasis.
