MANITOUWADGE, ON – Please be advised that mayor John MacEachern has terminated the Emergency which was declared in the Township of Manitouwadge on July 19, 2011 for becoming a “Host Community” for evacuees displaced due to forest fires in Northwestern Ontario.
Mayor MacEachern would like to extend his appreciation to all of the community volunteers and businesses along with Township Staff, for their due diligence given i preparing to receive the evacuees throughout the declaration and standby periods. Thank you all on behalf of Council.
