Manitouwadge Still Looking for Teams for the Amazing Race!
MANITOUWADGE, ON – This year as part of Sunfest, there will be a 5 day Amazing “Manitouwadge” Race Challenge. The race resembles the TV show the Amazing Race, where each night there is Roadblock (a task one team member performs), a Detour (a choice of two tasks that both team members perform) and a Pit Stop (the elimination point of the leg for each night). Each night a team(s) will be eliminated leaving 3 teams racing to the finish line on Friday night.
Teams of two may sign up at the Municipal Office; there is a small fee to sign up, with the opportunity to win a prize. Each leg of the race will begin at 6 pm with teams racing and completing challenges for approximately 1 to 1 ½ hours.
Following the finish of the race on Friday night there will be a BBQ and an outdoor concert at the ball field featuring Daniel Champagne (Australian 2010 World Guitar Championship Competitor). The event is free and open to all ages and there will be a separate licensed area. Please watch for full details regarding Sunfest in your ad bag this week.
