MALE CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED OPERATION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
MARATHON ON – Friday July 29, 2011, at 1:53am, Ontario Provincial Police officers while on general patrol in the Town of Marathon, could hear a vehicle in the distance driving erratically.
The officers located a Red Mitsubishi Eclipse driving on Peninsula Road and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. Upon speaking with the driver it was determined that he was impaired by alcohol.
Joshua BEDARD a 26 year old male, of Marathon, Ontario was arrested and charged with “Operate a Motor Vehicle with over 80mg of Alcohol in 100ml of Blood”. The accused was released from custody and is to appear in Marathon Court on November 17, 2011 on these matters.
The public is encouraged to call 911 or contact police at 1-800-310-1122 whenever suspecting that a driver is impaired while operating a motor vehicle whether it is a Car, Truck, Motorcycle, ATV, Snowmobile, Boat or even an Airplane.
