Marathon Welcomes 230 Evacuees
MARATHON, ON – The Town of Marathon continues to manage the logistics of hosting 230 evacuees in the community. Emergency Management Control Group meetings continue on a twice daily basis to ensure all necessary activities are coordinated and information exchanged.
“The Town of Marathon welcomes the visitors to our community. We are doing our best to make our visitors comfortable and address issues as they arise,” states Mayor Rick Dumas.
The Red Cross Central Registration Inquiry Bureau can be contacted at 1-866-356-3645 Ext. 236 for family and relative information updates for evacuees.
