Use of Bear Proof Dumpsters
Please use the Bear Proof Dumpsters (stenciled with bear image) regularly between the hours of 6:00 AM and 11:00 PM for household kitchen waste only which has been well wrapped and drained of all liquid matter.
Bear Proof Dumpsters are monitored and will be removed from an area if they are abused by the disposing of rubbish, wood, broken glass, metal scraps or any hazardous or manufactured and trade waste into them.
If you have any questions regarding the bear proof dumpsters or want to report any abuse of them, please call Public Works Department at 826-3227 Ext 230.

BEAR REPORT UPDATE
To date this season there have been few bear problems and it may be fair to suggest is a result of the community working together to keep our town clean by properly using our dumpsters. It is much appreciated when residents use the bear dumpsters properly and when the Public Works crew continues to regularly monitor/maintain and empty them as well.
It’s great and convenient for residents to have access to any of the bear dumpsters in town. Ongoing proper use of them will continue to assist the town in having a safer and cleaner community.
