200 Sandy Lake Evacuees to Arrive in Marathon
Marathon Accepting Forest Fire Evacuees
MARATHON, ON – The Town of Marathon has accepted 200 Stage 2 evacuees. The evacuees will be lodged at the Marathon Arena. Town and Fire Department Staff are on site coordinating logistics.
“Our Emergency Management Control Group continues to organize the logistics and liaise with the necessary Government officials on an ongoing basis. We are well planned with a coordinated approach to ensure the safety and security of the evacuees,” states Mayor Rick Dumas.
