Mount Neverest Challenge Continues
SCHREIBER/TERRACE BAY/ROSSPORT, ON – The North Shore Family Health Team, the Schreiber Recreation Department and the Terrace Bay Recreation Department are pleased with the participation in our Mount Neverest Activity Challenge. Activities to date include, Boxercise, Weight Training, Badminton, Volley Ball, a Walk to Schreiber Beach and Yoga. For each activity we host we have a Neverest Participation Award for one lucky participant. Participation winners for April and May included Krystalee Winters, David Mayry , Renee Deschatelets, Donna Mayry, and Art Roen. We also had a draw for the most minutes for April, each team captain submitted the team member with the most minutes for the month and we drew from these names Cindy Mills was the winner. Other acknowledgements for April included Raymond Goodchild for a Spirit Award and Bonnie Brake for the captain with the most enthusiasm.
If you are on one of the teams that have not been active, there is still hope! Overthrow your captain (unfortunately this will not count as an activity), designate a new captain and send them in to the Schreiber Clinic to see Debbie or Alison, or Terrace Bay clinic to see Janis, it is never too late to start collecting minutes.
We still have many activities to go. If you know someone who is on a team, ask them to invite you to an activity. There is a soccer night on June 8th/2011, and a hike to Lydia Bay on June 12/2011. We are playing Beach Volley Ball on the 22 of June/11. and people can try aquabics on the 28 of June/11. On Sun. June 26/11 we are hosting a Neverest Boot Camp with a variety of activities occurring from 1-4 in the afternoon.
f it sound like fun and you are sorry you did not register, we will be hosting another challenge next year, so start getting a team together.
June 15 is the Neverest Community Walk, groups will be walking in Terrace Bay, Schreiber and Rossport. This event is open to anyone who would like to participate. Keep your eyes out for posters at the clinics.
