Fun Run Numbers Down From 2010 in Manitouwadge

MANITOUWADGE, ON – th. Those who came out to brave drizzling rain, mosquitoes and gloomy skies, did have a great time, the children in particular thrilled to see that Jung had once again outdone herself with a table full of great prizes to be drawn for all ages.The 2011 Fun Run, an annual event part of the community’s Turn Off the Screens week activities organized this year by the Manitouwadge Diabetes Program and CDE Jackie Jung, was held Tuesday, June 7th. Those who came out to brave drizzling rain, mosquitoes and gloomy skies, did have a great time, the children in particular thrilled to see that Jung had once again outdone herself with a table full of great prizes to be drawn for all ages.

  • General Public (adults/pre-schoolers) – 43 adults (158 total) approx. 7.9%
  • High School – 3 students/staff approx. 3.75 %
  • Public School – 44 students/staff approx. 53%
  • OLOL – 46 students/staff approx. 32%
  • Ecole-Publique Franco-Manitou – 22 students/staff approx. 73%

Turn Off the Screens week continues tonight with some great family events which, thankfully, have indoor options taking over.
