The news that two men have succumbed to injuries suffered at Vale’s Stobie Mine in Sudbury is absolutely heartbreaking. Our deepest sympathies go to the families, friends and co-workers of these men. The Ministry of Labour has launched an immediate investigation into this workplace incident. Ministry inspectors are on the scene now. They have sealed off the scene and ordered a halt to all work in the area. We cannot comment on the specifics of an ongoing investigation, but we are monitoring the situation.
