MEAGHER, Francis Xavier
The family of Francis Xavier Meagher sadly announce his passing on Thursday, May 12, 2011, at the Manitouwadge General Hospital, Manitouwadge, Ontario.
Beloved husband of Irene (nee Stack) for 60 years. Loving father of Lauchie (Pauline) and Diane (Joe). Adored grandfather of Jaimie, Katie, Matthew, Stephen, Laura, Sarah and great-grandfather of Tyler and Carter, and a third great-grandchild due imminently. Son of the late Catherine and Lauchie Meagher. Dear brother of Joe and Helen and predeceased by Jim, Allan Donald, Nick, John A., John D. and Mary-Florence. Uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to visit at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Manitouwadge on Sunday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Monday morning from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Manuel officiating. Internment at the Manitouwadge Municipal Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, kind memorial donations made to Our Lady of Lourdes Church Building Fund, Brook Village Cemetery Fund (St. John the Baptist Parish, Brook Village, Cape Breton) or to the Manitouwadge Cancer Assistance Group would be greatly appreciated by the family.
